ED JACOBSON BIOGRAPHY

Ed Jacobson, CPA, CVA has worked in the fields of public accounting and business consulting since 1977. He joined Glass Jacobson’s Owings Mills office as a senior accountant in 1980. As firm president, Ed leads Glass Jacobson Financial Group’s efforts to be a premier provider of financial solutions in the region. Ed is a certified valuation analyst, an investment advisor representative and a licensed life and health insurance agent.

Ed has a wide range of expertise, including small- to mid-sized business valuations; expert testimony; strategic business consulting and planning; and tax research, preparation, and planning. He is widely considered an expert in his field and has been published multiple times, including in the Baltimore Business Journal (“M&A Deals Only Get Done with Creativity,” February 6, 2009).

Prior to working at Glass Jacobson, Ed was an auditor with Peat, Marwick & Mitchell. He is a member of the American Institute and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Ed sits on the board of directors for Kids Chance of Maryland, Inc., and has been honored by Smart CEO Magazine as one of Baltimore’s  “Smart CPAs” in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009.

Ed is the general campaign vice-chairman for Israel Bonds of Maryland.
