STEVEN WEISMAN BIOGRAPHY

Steven Weisman received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, School of Business and Public Administration in December 1974, with a major in accounting. He was a member of the national accounting honorary fraternity Beta Alpha Psi. He became a Certified Public Accountant, licensed to practice in the State of Maryland in August 1976. In May 1996, Steve passed the AICPA examination to become a Personal Financial Specialist.

Upon graduating from the University of Maryland, Steve started his own accounting practice in the District of Columbia. His practice grew and in September 1979 he opened a second office in Baltimore, Maryland. In January 1996 he started an asset management firm, TEAM Financial Planning, Inc. (TEAM). TEAM merged with Glass Jacobson Wealth Advisors, and Steve continues to provide his clients financial planning and asset management.

Steve has a wide range of experience in service to individuals, businesses, and non-profit institutions, local and across the country, including tax, financial accounting, financial planning, and management advisory services. He specializes in service-oriented clientele, such as attorneys, doctors, consultants, etc.

Steve has numerous public speaking engagements which include the National Conference of Legal Administrators, Legg Mason Wood Walker tax seminars, MACPA accounting seminars and various civic organizations such as Rotary International. In his spare time Steve helped form the nonprofit organization, Fight 4 Diabetes Cure, which holds an annual event that Steve started in 1998 to raise funds supporting the fight to find a cure for diabetes. This event has raised more than $2,000,000 since its inception.

Steve is currently a member in good standing with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). He is also a past chairman of the MACPA’s Management Advisory Services Committee.
