MICHAEL CREAMER BIOGRAPHY
Michael Creamer joined us in November of 2011. He has two roles: He’s a principal in our tax and planning department – and a director in our wealth advisory division.
He specializes in accounting and tax compliance and has extensive experience working with real estate management and development firms, professional service businesses, retailing, franchises, hi-tech industries, investment companies, start-ups, not-for-profit organizations, and medical practices. He also helps his clients with income tax planning, investment management, and retirement planning.
Michael has a long list of credentials and accreditations. He became a certified public accountant (CPA) in 1992 and a certified financial planner (CFP®) in 1997. He is an investment advisor representative, an accredited investment fiduciary, an accredited domestic partnership advisor (ADPA) and a certified divorce financial analyst (CDFA™). He also is a licensed annuity, life, and health insurance agent. Michael is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA), and the Financial Planning Association.
Before coming to Glass Jacobson, Michael worked at OneSource Financial Services Group in Montgomery Village, MD, where he gained experience working with individual stocks and bonds, mutual funds, variable and fixed annuities, tax planning – and life, long-term care, and disability insurances.
Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Joseph’s University and an education certificate from the College for Financial Planning. He lives in Rockville where he is active in his church, children’s school, and the local community. He is also a member of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.
Michael is also our lead Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and leads our Divorce Advisory Group. He works with any party involved in a divorce settlement (including attorneys) and specializes in working with financially dependent spouses.
